August has showed he is meeting these age appropriate milestones
- Walks, runs, climbs, kicks with ease
- Attempts to balance on one foot
- Jumps from low step or over low objects
While engaging in cooperative play in this tree climbing activity and expressed feelings towards H and he’s physical care using age appropriate communication techniques and sentences. August showed enthusiasm, happiness and independence to climb this tree without assistance that required he used he’s gross and fine motor skills, decision making and balance skills in a complex physical activity. August showed he was able to trust me in this activity because all he’s basic needs are being met and was able to be ‘autonomous’ because he felt confident enough in he’s environment to be able to make he’s own decisions and believe a positive experience would come from it. August could do this from being able to experiment and experience problem solving without being shamed or ridiculed in a safe space building positively on August’s self-esteem - ERIK ERIKSONS SECOND STAGE AUTONOMY VERSUS SHAME AND DOUBT
