hi everyone I Need help with some questions please?

1- learning and development are continuous and dynamic. how should this concept when interpreting information about children's development ?

2- explain why narratives are regarded as an authentic strategy for gathering information about children's development ?

Hi LoLo,

For the first question consider that learning and development is an ongoing process and that each child develops and learns in their own individual way. Some may take longer to understand and learn longer than others. It’s important when interpreting a child’s development that you consider different factors such as environmental, situation etc., not just age. This is why learning is continuous and dynamic.

Another term for narratives is a learning story. In this forum there have been a few discussions on learning stories. If you have a read through the following post this should give you an idea on why this is an important part of documenting children’s development.
