Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCIC501B/CHCRF511A
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
1. Your service has just been notified that you will be involved in an assessment process under the National Quality Framework. You have recently taken over as Director/Co-ordinator and have inherited a resource of documented staff meetings and policy reviews.

a) What is your next step?
b) How will you encourage the participation of parents?
c) What do you need to achieve from this assessment process?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I've answered "a" by mentioning that I would need to review the policies and other documentation and update anything that would need to be updated as well as inform my staff of the upcoming assessment.

As for b and c, I have absolutely no clue why parents need to be involved or what I'm attempting from an assessment visit. My educational supervisor at work is on holidays for two weeks and my boss is always too busy to sit down and discuss anything with so I was hoping I could get a few ideas.

(I've never been through an assessment visit by any means whilst I've been working there)
