Hi everybody, I am working with this unit and I want some of your help to this following questions:
For this task you are required to conduct a hypothetical evaluation of outdoor supervision to ensure best practice and compliance with legal and statutory obligations.
a. what is the task?
b. what are the standards required?
c. what skills and / or knowledge are necessary to adequate perform the task?
d. when is the task to be performed?
e. How is the task to be carried out?
f. What if any are the potential OHS risks involved in the performance of the task?
g. What is the risk to the organisation if the task is not carried out to the standard required?

Sorry if I given you a lot questions, I am still looking for the answers.

thanks,
Joyce

Hi Joyce
Well, you would need to know how many children are outside so a correct child/staff ratio could be caclulated. Would also depend on the age of the children as staff ratio depends on ages.
OHS risks would be things like any obvious dangers- faulty playground equipment, water hazards, sharp branches, unclean sand in sandpit etc.
Task would be by observations and discussions I would think.
Hope this is of some help.
