Hi lovely ladies! I am very new to the industry and struggling for different activities that will stimulate cognitive development. I am currently working on my assignment for cognitive development, and I am completely stumped on the following question...
* How can you as an educator set up the environment to promote cognitive development for early childhood aged children? In your response refer to the following: socio-cultural backgrounds, children's interests, strengths and needs, educator's role in supporting children's understanding and problem solving, the importance of families and communities.
My mind is blank??? Any help very much appreciated. THANK YOU !!!!!!
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
This is the measly paragraph I have so far..... Any activity that will challenge the child where they have to think about what to do before they do it are good cognitive activities. Environments where children need to use all their senses - taste, touch, hear, smell, see, will encourage cognitive development of their brains. Learning about the world around them - nature, science and maths, children will find fascinating and want to engage in and learn everything they can.
