Read the following scenario which highlight serious differences in pedagogical practices in relation to supporting children's social and emotional development.
Suggest the issue ,concepts and beliefs that need to be discussed in order to address these differences .
The educators in the pre schooler rooms have very different practices.
4yrs+room
-routines are quite rigid and there is little flexibility
-all chn are required to complete at least one art/craft experience each day.
-group work consist if large group story ,discussion and music.
-during meal time chn are required to finish their meal engaging in conversation.
-time -out is frequently used of run desirable behaviour.
-the educator resolve all conflicts for the chn.
3-4's room
- routine are flexible and relaxed
-chn are able to choose from wide range of experience each day
-the educator divide the children into two small group for story and for interactive group work such as projects science experiences gardening etc.
-the chn are provided with large group music and movement each day.
-during meal time chn are encouraged to engage in quite conversation.
-the educator work alongside the children to resolve conflicts as they arise
