Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCFC502A Knowledge Questions Physical Development
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Multiple Answer Questions which you are given 2 attempts of gaining a score of 100%

3 An infant who first learns to turn her head, kick her legs, reach her arm over to the other side of her body, and then combines all these movements to roll over onto her stomach is exhibiting evidence of:
Dynamic systems theory
The cephalocaudal trend
Proximodistal trend
Fine motor skills

5 Looking at the National Quality Standards, which of the following is most appropriate when looking at experiences to engage a child in varied physical experiences?
Children’s health and safety
Relationships with children
Educational program and practice
Physical environment

6 Physical development is broken down into different areas, a child who is using a climbing frame and shifting their weight from one side to the other would be developing:
Laterality
Perceptual Skills
Gross motor skills
Fine motor skills

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
My first attempt was 70/100

3. My first attempt I chose The cephalocaudal trend which was incorrect. Since doing some research I believe Proximodistal is correct (from the centre of the body outwards).

5. My first attempt was Physical Environment. I now believe Children's Health and Safety is correct.

6. My first attempt was Perceptual skills. I am now thinking Gross motor skills because the child would be using their bigger limbs like hands, arms and legs.

Description and Message:
Multiple Answer questions in which I have made one attempt and scored 70/100 on second attempt it needs to be completed at 100% above are the questions and what I would chose for my second answers. I am not sure if you are able to help me, but any help will be much appreciated.

Hi I have just finished doing these 4 knowledge assessments today. Don't worry if you don't get 100% on your first 2 attempts because you can just email your TAFE teacher and they will reset the quiz for you to take it a third time, which is what I had to end up doing!

I can tell you that proximodistal is correct for question 3. For question 5, children's health and safety is incorrect. Remember, we need to use the educational program when planning any kind of experience for children. Question 6 is spot on correct as well.

I hope this helps! I know how stressful these quizzes can be I'm just glad I've finished mine now.

Hi Law92 I am not sure what went wrong, it says proximodistal trend is also incorrect for question 3 but the others were correct. I am going to request another attempt and research the other 2 possible answers a little more. Wish me luck for me on the other knowledge questions.

Hi

Really proximodistal was wrong? Just email your facilitator and tell them the question that you need to fix up and what you think the answer is. Maybe there was a glitch in the system or something because I had that same question and the TAFE teacher said that proximodistal was right. Anyway good luck with it all. I am going to be moving on to assessment 2 next week I'm hoping the other 2 assignments don't take me too long
