Hi everyone,

I'm a little stuck for some ideas for my menu for late snake. I'm looking for a variety of healthy snakes besides a piece of fruit that will not fill the children up to much be for going home for dinner.

According to Menu Planning LDC - An extra snack is recommended for children attending eight or more hours in care. If you offer a late snack it should be documented on the menu. Foods and drinks included at late snack should be nutritious and based on choices from the five food groups.

At my previous centres late snack was a rice cake with a spread such as vegemite or butter. It's not something too filling so children can eat dinner when they go home...
