Hi everyone

I am hoping for any guidance, help or criticisms anyone is willing to give me on this question that I am struggling a little bit with.

It is about the differences in child rearing practices.

6.2 Choose 3 different cultural, social or personal beliefs that may impact/influence the way behaviour is guided outside the service.

Okay, so my answers are;

1. Attitude towards physical punishment
2. Different cultures regulate the display of emotion differently - whether they get emotional; yell, cry or they may keep they emotions hidden

I don't know if this is remotely on the right track , any feedback will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you :) :)

Yes, it seems to me like you're on the right track!

Also:

- if a child is "spoilt" and given everything they ask for
- whether the parent is strict and child is reprimanded for their behaviour
- if the child is told their consequences of their actions
- a child is the only child or middle child or younger child

Hope this gives you some ideas,

Hey Lorina,

Thank you for your examples. I was wondering if you could give me a little extra help with the rest of the task...

So after identifying the beliefs the task asks how I can accommodate these beliefs whilst respecting the family's choices/expectations
Attempt: ???

And how can I accommodate these beliefs whilst ensuring service policy is adhered to?
I guess my attempt at this question would be:
Ensure that I follow centers policies and procedures, and inform parents/families of the correct policy and procedures

The last question I am stuck on is 6.4 refer to EYLF and reflect on the benefits of adapting center practices to respect families behaviour guidance practices particularly those that relate to cultural, spiritual or personal beliefs?

Any help that you can offer will be greatly appreciated thank you :):)
