In my experience, CHCECE046 really helped me reflect on how important it is to actively listen and adapt to each child’s communication style. I found that building trust with both children and families through open, respectful communication made a big difference in promoting inclusion in my setting.

CHCECE046 deepened my understanding of how interpersonal communication can support inclusion. By working closely with colleagues and families, I was able to implement shared strategies that promoted every child’s participation and sense of belonging.

a. I included a child with different abilities in a group game and explained to others how everyone can play together.
b. I asked children how they would feel if left out and what they could do to include others.
c. I shared inclusion strategies with a colleague and helped adapt activities for all children.
d. I encouraged a child’s effort in a difficult task and shared their progress with the family.
