CHCECE023 - Inclusive Principles and Practices

Hi all,
I have an assessment activity question that I would like some help with:)
What information about an organisation's inclusive principles and practices should be provided to parents and carers, and in what formats might the information be disseminated?
I have read through the whole book and they don't speak about what information should be provided to families. I then also looked into our policies and procedures at our centre and couldn't locate an inclusion policy. I then looked on the internet and found another centres inclusion policy but I'm not sure if everything that they have included in their policy is required to be passed on to families.
From what I understand, I need to include:
- Who the inclusion policy relates to(children with a disability, Torres strait islanders, aboriginals)
- What the inclusion policy aims to do (ensure all children and families feel like they belong, no discrimination)
- What the inclusion policy means ( openly valuing and accepting the children, without negative judgements, generally celebrating uniqueness and diversity without tokenistic gestures, enabling and supporting equal opportunities for all children to participate in all experiences and to learn from their experiences, acknowledging and embracing uniqueness without overemphasising it)
I then have to say the best way to pass this information on to families.
I thought that the best ways would be:
- having a copy of the policy/procedure at the centre that is accessible to all families upon request
- When enrolling their child, a copy of the policy is provided
- the policy is available in a range of languages to be provided to families upon enrolment
That's all that I can think of. Do you think that, that answers what the question is asking?
