Hi I'm having trouble with this task
Part A-Assessing Access
The inclusion of children with additional needs may require modifications or rearrangement of the physical environment to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child and to promote an appropriate level of independence in consultation and accordance with other professionals and family.
for this task you are required to access the physical environment-indoors and outdoor. for the inclusion of a child who requires wheelchair access. your task is to identify the specific resource needs and/or building modifications needed to accommodate the child. you will need to consider indoor and outdoor access, furniture and furnishings, room layout.
Use the following Physical Access Checklist as a guide-modify/adapt as required.
Identify a child in the service who may have an additional need using the appropriate formats.
* Develop a plan for inclusion
* Implement strategies to meet the child's additional needs that are appropriate
* consult others about issues that may arise
* monitor and review these strategies
