Question.....Summarise Quality Area 5—Relationships with children—of the NQS including regulations and schedules. What policy does it require service providers to have in place?...
(Im really not sure what specific 'policy') and am confused as to what 'schedules' encompasses)
Answer........This quality area revolves around building responsive and respectful relationships with children within the education and care services while also promoting children to have sense of security and belonging. The approved provider of an education and care service must take reasonable steps to ensure that children being educated and cared for by the service are provided with opportunities to interact and develop respectful and positive relationships with each other and with the staff members. The relationships that are built with children should be responsive and respectful and promote children’s sense of security and belonging. Relationships of this kind allow children to explore the environment and engage in play as well as learning.
Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011
Children and Young People Act 2008
The Convention on the Rights of the Child
Relationships with Children Policy/ Interactions with Children Policy?????
Code of Conduct Policy
Occupational Health and Safety Policy
Anti Discrimination Policy
Kind regards,
Amanda
