I have a few I am stuck on.

Q1. If a child becomes ill while in care, what are three actions that an educator should respond with? reference the actions to the regulations and NQS.

Attempted answer:
As i work in childcare, when we notice a child has become ill the first thing we do is check their temperature, write it up in an accident, injury and illness report and then call their parent/guardian. But I don't think that's what the question is asking. I also cannot find where its is in the regulations and NQS as it only stats about infectious diseases.

Q2.If a parent/guardian does not want to immunise their child, can they attend child care? Explain the rules around this.

Attempted answer:
I know that a child can attend child care if they are not immunised but unsure of what the rules are.

Q1 - Found the following in the Regulations:
details of any illness which becomes apparent while the child is being educated and cared for by the education and care service or the family day care educator including—
(i) the name and age of the child; and
(ii) the relevant circumstances surrounding the child becoming ill and any apparent symptoms; and
(iii) the time and date of the apparent onset of the illness;

Depends what state you are from, for NSW:

Hope this helps,
