Posted: Fri Nov 21, 2014 11:21 pm
Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCECE002 – Final Assessment
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner
Your Question?
I have to choose an age group and create a checklist to help you ensure the care environment is safe.
I have to include equipment and resources, spaces and storage areas and complete the checklist and attach/upload along with this assessment. You may access your services checklist as an example
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
So far I have ensuring play equipment is well maintained, cleaned daily and put away when not in use to avoid obstacles. In storage areas, items are to be stored neatly (not stacked on top of each other). Outdoor areas fenced and checked to make sure there are no wires or nails sticking out. Have any gardening tools and equipment, fertilizers and pesticides stored away in a secure storage facility that locked so children can't get into. Ensure play equipment and swings are sturdy and well anchored to ground.
Description and Message:
I'm not sure where to go with this question or what the checklist is supposed to look like as I'm only on my second unit and have never worked in a Children's Service. I would appreciate some pointers and guidance of what I am supposed to do, thankyou
