Who is the State/Territory WHS authority that you may be required to report to? How may they impact on your service?
Work health and safety act protects health and safety of all workers. It protects the welfare of all workers. It protects health and safety of all the other people who might be affected by work. All workers are protected by WHS act. Incidents can be reported to WHS in your state or territory authority.
WHS legislation you are obliged to provide:
safe premises
safe machinery and materials
safe systems of work
information, instruction, training and supervision
a suitable working environment and facilities.
WHS act also sets out the requirements for the following:
* incident notification
*consultation with workers
*issue resolution
