Hi,

Im actually feeling quite confident about question 8. It has a scenario so it may be a little hard to understand unless i copy and paste it all but you should get an idea without it.

8. Outcome 4 of the Early Years Learning Framework Belonging, Being & Becoming states “Children develop dispositions for learning such as curiosity, co-operation, confidence, creativity, commitment, enthusiasm, persistence, imagination and reflexivity” (Page 34).

Using the column ‘Educators promote this learning, for example, when they:….’ Document three (3) Educator strategies which will support Larry’s interests identified in the scenario and Identify how you would implement a strategy for Larry to meet the strategy outcome.
For example:
Strategy - Promote in children a strong sense of who they are and their connectedness to others – a shared identity as Australians
Implementation - Creating a family wall where Larry brings in a family photo with cousins

Now write your own ….

My ideas are
1. Outcome 2 - Children become socially resposible and show respect for the environment. (Class pet - fish)
2. Outcome 3 - Recognise their individual achievments (In this sceario it would be the child learning to identify colours)
3. Outcome 3 - Recognise & communicate their bodily needs (thirst, hunger etc).
- Show an icreasing awareness of healthy lifestyles & good nutrition
(Washing hands, wiping faces after eating etc.....Also healthy cooking at day care and sending home the healthy recipes)

Any advice?
Thanks

I think for this question you need to choose how you will promote the child's learning. The responses you gave are more related how the child is acheiving the outcomes rather than how as an educator you will continue the learning.

So as an educator you can promote learning by:

3.2.5 - "promote continuity of children’s personal health and hygiene by sharing ownership of routines and schedules with children, families and the community" (washing hands before and after eating, encouraging to clean mouth, etc).

This will give you more ideas:

How Educators Promote Outcomes

Hope this helps,

Thanks Lorina,

I actually came across that document last night but didn't even think to use it. I just used the one that was recommended in the notes from the tutor. This makes a lot more sense.

Thank you
