Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCCN511A:
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
3. The children will be required to have morning tea and access to a toilet during a half day excursion (9am – 11am).
• Outline the health and safety requirements that will need to be considered to ensure children's needs are met.
• Outline contingencies you may need to make to ensure children's needs are met

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I have outlined all the health and safety requirements but am not sure of the second part of the questions. Please help. I am confused. Contingencies means unexpected events that may occur but what does it mean when it say to ensure children's needs.
thank you in advance.

Some contingencies I can think of are:

- If a child has a toileting accident
- The toilet is unavailable due to repair work
- Toilet isn't child appropriate

Hope this gives you some ideas,
