Dear Lorina, Could you please help me with the following question:

Q: Preparation for the Assessment and Rating Process
This activity requires you to meet with your Workplace Supervisor and/or Director and investigate the processes your service uses, or has used, to undertake an Assessment and Rating review under the National Quality Standards (NQS). In particular you will need to discuss and document:
• The process the service used to complete the Quality Improvement Plan?
• How the service supported educators to understand the National Quality Framework (NQF) including legislation, regulations and the NQS.
If your service has not yet undergone an assessment discuss with your Workplace Supervisor how the service is preparing for an Assessment and Rating Review.
Write a brief report on your findings.

My answer:

After investigating within the centre I have found that the centre is preparing for assessment and rating report is the following as follows:

The centre was undertaking its own assessment of the service against the National Quality Standard and regulations. They were trying to incorporate the findings in the centres quality improvement plan as this will empower us to play an active part in the assessment and rating process. The following are a summary of the centres preparation assessment and rating report :
• The assessment and rating process of their own is designed to be collaborative and empowering and involve all educators, parents and children in the self-assessment and discussions
• Encouraging all the staffs to know the National Quality Standard in more detail and how our program fits within the applicable Learning Framework; The Early Years Learning Framework and/or Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework and/or the Framework for School Age Care. For this, the educators are asked to use online resources to explore and a weekly discussion programme was introduced and shares our understanding with each other. Educators are reflective and share discussions within the service using topics from the Guide to the National Quality Standard.
• Reviewing the Guide to the National Quality Standard which provides information about what the authorised officer may observe, discuss and sight (also so educators and others know what to expect)
• Informing parents and educators of the assessment and rating process and the expected date for the visit.

But my assessor replies:
Please re-write. You live in ACT and talking about Victorian framework.

Could any one please help me with the question???? It would be great favor to me.
Thanks mates.........
