Your Question?
Faraz - Faraz (4.8yrs) is Australian/Arabic. He is an only child of older parents. Faraz still tantrums and pouts when he does not get his own way with adults or peers. He is becoming increasingly isolated as the other children will no longer tolerate his behaviour. His mother laughs and gives into him, saying "He is such a baby my beautiful boy"
Cultural expectations/personal values beliefs?
Males tend to be favoured in some moddle eastern cultures
How it could be addressed?
Talking to the mother explaining Faraz's behaviour at child care, explaining that Faraz is finding it difficult to form friendships
. Coming up with ideas and suggestions togethor . ( this is the first scenario and answers i have provided i am pretty content with these answers , scenario 2 as follows is more difficult to work out...... >

Caleb (3.2yrs) and his sister Ella (18mnths) attend child care 5 days per week. Their parents are solicitors and have their own busy practice. Caleb is becoming increasingly aggresive with younger children- he pushes, bites and hits. When challenged by the educator he usually bursts into tearsand promises he will not hurt his peers. However the bahaviour reocurrs several times a day. The educator has tried to address the behaviour with Caleb's parents. His mother tells the educator to "Just deal with it" and his father responds by saying "He can be a handful sometimes"
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?

> Im finding it very difficult to answer this one, as i beleive the parents working all the time could have an impact on how Caleb is behaving, seeking out attention, im having trouble identifying the personal belief/cultural expectation?

. Talking with the parents coming up with ideas and suggestions togethor ... ? bit lost on this one though
