Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: CHCFC502A- Foster physical development in early childhood
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
Explain the interaction between physical development and other areas of development - especially social and psychological, and provide example of experiences that develop that interaction.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Physical development interacts with social development because children play together, and while doing so they are speaking and interacting with one another. This creates the foundations of friendship.

An example of an experience that can develop the interaction between social and physical development can be a threading table where you have a few children threading at once. A child that is good at threading may be able to show another child who is struggling how to do it.

Physical development interacts with psychological development because if you are struggling to do something physically you may be bullied by your peers and that will then affect your self-esteem and confidence. If you have no confidence in what you are doing you will struggle in developing that physical activity. However if you are given positive praise in your efforts, you will continue to try and improve yourself until you have finally accomplished the task that you were set out to do.

An example of an experience that can develop the interaction between physical and psychological development, could be something as simple as tying shoelaces. A child may get frustrated that he/she cannot yet tie their own shoelaces, but with praise and support they may feel that they can keep on trying.

Description and Message:
Just wondering if I am on the right track with my answer or am I way off path? Is there anything I need to add?

Thank you.

You're first response it seems fine however for your second question I think it may be associated with how a child changes physically over time. Check out the following which may help:
