hi, can anyone please me with this assignment?
advocate rights and needs of children
1.List the rights and needs of the child that are in jeopardy by the issue or situation that you have identified.
2.Clarify any competing rights that are involved.
3.What is the child or children’s point of view about this issue?
4.How have you or would you ascertain the child’s point of view.
5.Nominate support personnel or relevant others that you would need to approach about this issue.
6.List options that could be negotiated.
7.Identify the background information that would need to be collected and presented.
8.Nominate communication strategies that you would use.
( imagine that you are a staff member in that service plan how you would advocate to bring a change.)

Thanks

Hi Fang,

For this just came up with a situation that could basically be affecting the rights of needs of a child. I know that it might seem really hard when trying to understand it but it helps to break the question down. When you re-read it you will get an idea of what the assignments are asking for. Normally in the diploma the wording they use it very complicated but once you figure out the simplified version then it isn’t so bad…

Some situations that you could use include:

1) A parent not wanting their toddler to sleep at daycare.
2) A parent wanting their child to complete homework at OOSH.
3) A child not being able to receive “dessert” unless they finish lunch.
4) A child being made to have “time out” as a behavior strategy.

Based on any of these situations try to come up with the answers for your question. Just read the question and put yourself in a child's shoes and explain how you will try to resolve this issue.

I hope the above situations help you in thinking about how to complete your assignment!
