Post by kaykay1234 » Thu Aug 20, 2020 1:28 pm

Hi Lorina,

Wanted to know if i was on the right track with this question! or if not could you guide me in right direction

Children and young people’s behaviour is influenced by their developmental stage. What characteristic behaviour are you likely to observe of children in the pre-operational stage? List 10.

The characteristic behaviour you are likely to observe of a children in the pre-operational stage is
1. Centurion - When children have difficulties thinking about more aspect at the same time.
2. Egocentrism - Children assume that children or other people see, hear and feel exactly the same
3. Play - Children often play in parallel play with other children.
4. Symbolic Representation - The ability to make one thing a word or object
5. Pretend play - Toddlers may often pretend to be people they aren't eg doctor

Thank you!! :D :D

Yes you're on the right track... referring to Piaget's theory.
