Working toward bachelors in early childhood and primary education

Hi there!
I’m wondering what my pay rate should be! I’m studying my bachelors in early childhood and primary education! I’m at the centre as a casual and float between rooms! I’ve been there for just a year now! I don’t have previous qualifications just working toward the bachelor!
Hope someone can help xx
Thanks so much

How much of your degree have you completed?

May I ask what your current pay rate is now?

Hi!

From what I understand you are probably getting paid as a Diploma Assistant. I think that it is a good pay rate for you since you haven't got any other qualifications. In my opinion, your pay rate is good.

Thanks lorina! It’s a bit of a shame getting paid at a lesser level! Do u know when I’d get a ride to a bachelors pay and how much it would be? Also would the fact I’m doing early childhood and primary make any difference?
Thanks again

You won't get paid as a degree holder until you get a job/position as an ECT in a service. If you are an ECT in a service then you will be paid as such. If you are a room leader or an assistant, regardless of your degree then you will be paid as a Diploma.

Okay! But once I’m done my degree if I become room leader it will be a higher rate no longer a diploma rate?

You need to be employed as the ECT of the service in order to receive the degree pay rate.

I would probably remove aspirin - try that - then if it's still wrong try adding paracetamol - hopefully that works!
