According to the Children's Services Award, employees get paid at least their base pay rate for all hours worked on a public holiday.

Yes, the holiday pay is probably 3 times the normal salary.

Yes, public holidays attract higher penalty rates under the Children’s Services Award. Full‑time and part‑time educators are paid at 250% of their ordinary hourly rate, while casuals receive 275% (which already includes the 25% casual loading).
