ECT, does previous diploma experience count?

Hello, I have a three year Bachelor of arts and a one year postgraduate of ECT. I was wondering whether I would be classified as a four year trained teacher (level 2,1, vectea)?

I also have a diploma of early childhood education and roughly 4 years experience as a diploma educator in long day cares and sessional and I was wondering if you know whether this experience counts towards ECT sessional (vectea) rates As I have not been able to find information on this anywhere.
Thank you so much for your help :)

HI!

Sorry for the delay... I did find the following in the Educational Services Teachers Award:

"service as a diploma qualified childcare worker, at the rate of one year for every three years’ service up to a maximum of four years".

It may be similar...

I have tried to contact Elaa however still yet to receive a reply, hence my delay in this post.

I will continue trying to find out for you.

Hi Lorina,

Thank you forgetting back to me. I had also found the information on the educational services award which is what prompted my curiosity. Hopefully ELaa can shed some light, thank you so much for going to that effort I really appreciate it.
