Correct wages ?

My daughter just started a full time traineeship studying towards a Cert3 Early Childhood . She is 18 years old, left school in Feb 2017 after completing Y11 in 2016.
She never did her HSC but instead Completed a Cert 3 at TAFE in Travel and a Cert 11 in Community Pharmacy.
She is getting paid at the Highest level of schooling completed (Y11) rate (1 year out of school). ($10.70 p/hr) . Is this correct, I thought perhaps the Cert 3 she'd previously completed would be the equivalent to a HSC , ie Y12 completed pay rate.
Centrelink considers A Cert3 the equivelent to a HSC level but when I rang Fair Work this stumped them and they said no because her previous Cert 3 wasn't in the same industry as the current Cert 3 (Childcare) .
Thanks in advance

As a childcare trainee - the pay rate comes under the Miscellaneous Award 2010 - Wage Level A

As a school leaver, year 11, plus 1 year - her weekly earning is around $409.60 which per hour is around $10.70 or so.

So, what your daughter is earning is correct.

Your daughter cannot be counted as a cert 3 educator as she does not have the qualification for this industry. Once she finishes her traineeship she will be counted as a cert 3 qualified educator and her wages will increase.

Here is the link to the Award for your reference: Miscellaneous Award 2010

Hope this helps!
