yeah its an observation and that's the beauty of all the new changes to observering children

Hi Chilliwinkle,
I definitely use these templates as a way to record an observation. You add your photos of what you observed and write in the details of the observation. The great thing about the new interest area templates is not only do they include the outcomes but also the benefits of the particular play observed and the practices and principles. It covers everything and only takes a couple of minutes. Its a win win.

Yes, like Linsaa mentioned the interest area templates can be used as observations. It's a really simple way of observing a child on how they engage with the activities in the specific interest area. It's a different type of documentation tool that can be used!
