Postgrad ECT qualification without EC experience

Hi everyone
Is anyone doing a Postgrad ECT course without prior EC experience, or has been in this position?
I am currently enrolled in a Postgrad ECT course after which I am looking forward to start a career in EC. I don't have experience with 0-6yr olds. I have an overseas postgrad in primary education. I have some experience with 8-12yr olds (primary) but that was 10 years ago and overseas.
What level or position should I be looking for with the postgrad ECT qualification (no experience)? There's a 60 day placement for this course.
Should I think about switching to doing a Diploma instead?
Any advice would be appreciated!
