Looking for Placement

Hello! I am new here. I have decided to enrol Diploma ECEC (online study) with TAFE QLD. But they said, for online study mode, I need to secure placement first as a requirement for enrolment. I just want to ask for help. Is it advisable to ring around the centres and ask for placement? or is it more formal if I email them? Any advise is appreciated. Thanks

Yeah I'd do both... some reply to emails quickly while others take a longer time to respond... so I would ring them directly ask and see if you can forward your details to them for placement.

I'd start as soon as possible since it may be hard to find a centre.

Hi Lorina,

Thanks for your advise. I did sent out emails last week. Almost all replied, and unfortunately, they won't take placement now due to current situation with covid. I will try to contact more this week and will see from there.

Yeah it's going to be a challenge find work placement at the moment... I hope your course provider can understand...

Hi Lorina,

Its TAFE QLD (online). I was hoping they would still process my enrolment. But they are just putting me on the waitlist until I secure a placement or until they are ready accept students' application even without placement. It's frustrating because I really wanted to do the course with TAFE, but I might look into Selmar if TAFE won't work.

Thanks

Cheryl
