CPR - Training

Just a quick question, if your first aid certificate is still valid but your CPR component has expired, can you still work if you CPR cert is expired? I am trying to book a course at the end of Feb but it may end up being in March, I was hoping to get work before then so I was wondering if I would be allowed to work with just my first aid cert until I renew my CPR?

Thanks

I don't think it should be a problem. As long as you got a course booked and you let your employer know that you are going to re-new it asap then i don't see a problem with it. Last time my first aid certificate expired I had to wait a month or so before I took the course and my director was fine with it. You've already completed it before and it's just a re-newel so it should be ok. Just don't forget to let the centre director know.

I know plenty of ppl whose CPR had expired but as LA said they were due to do the course soon so it was fine.
Just let your employer know. Meanwhile probably add it on your résumé that you have your first aid and expected to complete your CPR on whatever date

I agree Macoola... This forum is pretty awesome when you need support!

Others have already covered your question. You shouldnt be having a problem with your CPR as long as you get it done soon.
