Hi i was just wondering how long of a break do you get for working 5 and a half hours in a childcare centre? Thanks

When working as a part time employee, who works less than 7 hours per day, you’re entitled to:
•1 unpaid meal break of at least 30 minutes and no more than 1 hour
•1 paid rest break of at least 10 minutes

hey Lorina thankyou for the quick response. I think for my centre for casuals its only 15 minute break for 5.5 hrs. Is this allowed?

I had a look at Fair Work And this is what It says:
An employee working 5 - 6 hours 1 rest break 1 meal break (An employee can elect to not have a meal break)
