support worker
Hi there need your valuable idea

ScenarIo.

.john has been coming to the centre for about 6months. he has just turned 4years.john is very quiet and seems to watch the other children play rather than join in. john is interested in cars and always goes to this area and plays alone or alongside other child. the carer has noticed that when noah took a car from john he looked upset but did nothing about it .
Question 1.How can you support John?
Question 2.How could the room environment support him?
Question 3.How could you encourage him to play with others?
Qquestion 4.What information could you gather about john?

Hi fefe here is my answer
Que 1 -encourage him to use your word and tell Noah to don't snatch toys from other . Que2- set up the room for John with cars n transport , tools n ask parent abt John further interest give him lots n lots of love n support So he developed his language skills . Que 3 - provided some group game , set up some gross n finer motors game but don't forget his interest ( cars) . Que 4 - John is a shy boy so ask parent abt language pathology n help him with language skills n also encourage him to in a group n make a Frns ....

You seem to be on the right track just a few points

Q3 Yes I would set up some games involving cars that John may like, I may also try and pair him up with other children in the class who you think could get along with John and get them to do something together (some children find group activities more daunting, however when paired with just 1 other child they feel more comfortable)
Q4 It is asking what info you could gather about John so I would speak to parents ask them about him and his interests, is he an only child? does he get to socialise much with children other than at childcare? etc
