You need to use the UN Convention Of The Rights Of The Child and choose which ones relate to gathering information about children:

UN Convention Rights Of The Child

and also:

ECA Code Of Ethics

thank you for your help so for UN Convention Rights of The Child is that article 17 and with the ECA code of ethics I did really think there was anything that related to gathering information.
