Q-how can we organise the room ,the environment and resources so children can be as independent as possible in the following tasks

1-making their own bed

by adding small beds and light weight bedding which they can handle easily

2-blowing their own nose

by adding a small stool in front of washroom sink for kids facility

3-choosing the activity they wish to play with

by arranging all activities and toys on a lower surface where they will be easily approachable

4-getting themselves a drink of water

by putting the small bottle and glass at a table which is approachable for them

5-choosing what they would like to eat for morning tea

by giving them choices of available eatables

6-participating in an art or craft activity

by putting the all available art material in a basket or two for an easy access

please have a look and tell me is this response OK,is it really what is asked?

1-making their own bed

Encouraging each child to collect their own bedding and assisting them to place their sheet and blanket on their bed

2-blowing their own nose

Having a poster on a child blowing their nose, providing tissues on a low table that they can reach, near a bin.

3-choosing the activity they wish to play with

4-getting themselves a drink of water

Providing a water flask or a water jug and cups on a table where the children can get water as they wish. There should also be a bucket for dirty cups that get washed throughout the day.

5-choosing what they would like to eat for morning tea

by giving them choices of available eatables and providing child friendly utensils to serve themselves such as tongs, ladle etc.

6-participating in an art or craft activity

Hope this helps,
