Make a list of the current requirements for the use of nursery equipment according to the required standards.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Cots
 Follow mandatory standards on design, comply with Australian standards
 Assemble correctly
 Slats are appropriately spaced
 Locking system for the drop side
 Mattress fits correctly and is firm
 Maintenance and regular checks are done
 Follow SIDS guidelines (lay on back, feet at bottom end, no loose bedding)

High chairs
 Strong, stable and sturdy
 Has a 5 point restraint system
 Always used with supervison
 Place is an appropaitre postion
 Maintianence and regula checks
 Has breaks if there are wheels
 No areas on high chair that children can trap fingers in

Play pens
 Strong, stable and sturdy
 Locking system can not be unlocked by children
 At least 500mm high
 Spaceing between bars are between 50mm -95mm


Push/pull toys
 Use only toys that follow mandorty standeardds on testing and design
 No long cords
 No sharp edges

Change table
 Do not leave children unattended, always leave one hand on child
 Keep anything that can harm out of reach
 Use of harness or anti roll system

Rocker chairs
 Always place these on the floor

They do also ask about walkers - i did look them up on the product safety site. I myself do not believe walkers should be used in a child care setting. I guess i will just use the info i can get from that site.
