Second Language Experiences

Does anyone here have any great ideas for a second language experience for toddlers?

It's part of my assignment. My first thought is the song and sit down dance to 'Taba Naba' from the Wiggles it's a song originating from the Torres Strait Islands. I have a 2 year old who adores it and as a group we sit down and sing it whilst doing the actions. Being from Townsville I think it's quite fitting as there are many people living here who have originated from the Torres Strait.

Does anyone have any other ideas, do you think this is an acceptable idea?

Thanks :)

I think that is great. In the past I have done simple 1-5 counting with children in different languages as well as how to say hello.
Exposing children to music and songs from other cultures is a great way to introduce them to other languages though I prefer to do the song in English then the 2nd language as otherwise they have no idea what they are singing/hearing
