Everyday Interests
Jeff, the Educator, was aware that a number of the preschool children in his group were fascinated by the road works that were taking place down the road from the centre. They watch from the fence as the workers dig up and resurface the road.

(iii) What anti-bias resources could be added to this experience to promote participation of all children, and to develop children’s awareness of differences?

I can't understand this question

Anti-bias means only having items out that the boys can play with... So, for this example you can st up the sand pit have cones around the sandpit, add shovels and buckets, put trucks around the sandpit that all children can use to dig up the sand. Show photos of male and females working with trucks...

Hope this helps,

i. What is the children's emerging interest
Children’s emerging interest is the road work of the workers digging up and resurface the road.

i. List three different play resources and equipment that you could place in the block area to foster children’s interest.

ii. What anti-bias resources could be added to this experience to promote participation of all children, and to develop children’s awareness of differences?
