Q5 : what recommendations would you give to parents in regards to dressing their child for their day in care ? Give consideration to comforts safety and protection. Explain why u have made these recommendations?
Ans : children are involved in a variety of activities through out the day both indoors and outdoors, this also includes a range of weather conditions. Services require parents to provide aprons for craft activities and spare clothes for toilet mishaps and weather changes.
Services have policies in place that will determine the definition of appropriate safety clothing for the children. An example of a safety hazard in clothing , is clothing that restricts the movement of children or clothing that has detachable items on it. Footwear must also be appropriate.
Services are required to meet children's and families individual clothing needs and preferences to promote children s comfort safety and protection within the scope of the services requirements for childrens health and safety

Yes, your response is good!

You could also mention about Sun Safety and children are required to wear sleeved tops (rather than tops with straps) and a full brim hat to protect them from the sun. Children should also be encouraged to wear enclosed shoes to protect their feet in the environment.

Hope this helps!
