Thinking about collaborating within a service how can an educator assist in providing support for families in their parenting role?

By discussing the following with parents -

- Managing their child's behaviour
- Developing their child's language skills
- Encouraging their child to eat healthy and nutritional meals
- Encouraging their child in self help skills
- Preparing their child for school etc.

Where could educators access information in Indigenous culture to incorporate new practices into a service?

- Organisations such as Indigenous Professional Support (IPSU), Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care (SNAICC), Reconciliation Australia and Australians for National Title and Reconciliation (ANTaR).

- Meet and talk with Aboriginal people etc.

Hope this helps,
