Your Question?
If you believe that a child in your care has behavioral or health problems that require further attention, detail the actions you would take, ensuring that proper procedures are followed and accommodation for cultural difference (if necessary) is made. If these issues are outside of your expertise or if parents request that the centre take actions that are not within it's parameters, what should you do? How would you ensure that the communication with these parents if culturally appropriate?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I only have ideas for the last two questions:
If these issues are outside of your expertise or if parents request that the centre take actions that are not within it's parameters, what should you do? Bring forth this issue to the centre director to ascertain whether the centre has the expertise or ability to deal with these issues.
Refer the parents to providers or departments able to fulfil the parent's requests.

How would you ensure that the communication with these parents if culturally appropriate?
Use polite, non-stereotypical, politically correct language, be mindful of gestures, opinions and words which might offend or alienate an individual from their cultural background. Communicate honestly, openly and politely. Ensure your communication is understood and recieved positively.

Description and Message:
Other than the last two questions, I have really struggled finding any information relevant to these procedures or issues, my provided learning resource provides no information regarding this project, and google has not been as useful as I would like.
If someone has any resources or information regarding this project I would really appreciate the help.
Also if someone could provide examples of the kind of problems this would be regarding that would be excellent.

I would take my concerns to the centre director, along with all facts I posess, which have led me to this belief. I would discuss my concerns with the centre director so that they can ascertain whether my belief is correct or well-founded and to develop possible action plans to present to the child's parent.
Set up a meeting to discuss these concerns with the child's parents and centre director. Develop an action plan through collaborateing with staff, supervisers and the child's parents.
Form a behavioral management plan with the child's parents to help resolve the issue. Provide parents with behavior management technics and resources.
Refer the child's parents to an experienced health care professional who will be able to assist with the child's health problems. Devise a set of procedures for the centre to follow, to accomodate the child's health issue. For example, serveing different or specified foods, providing specialized furniture or developing a sound line of communication with the child's health care provider and parents.

If these issues are outside of your expertise or if parents request that the centre take actions that are not with it's parameters, what should you do?-
Discuss these issues in detail with your centre director, to ascertain whether the centre has the expertise, ability or resources to deal with this issue.
If possible refer this issue and all the information regarding it, to another staff member who posesses the appropriate expertise to deal with these issues (as advised by director).
If these issues are unable to be delt with properly within the centre, meet with the child's parents regarding the health or behavioral issue and advise them to contact the appropriate services: for instance SDN Children's Service's, Medical specialists, behavior therapists etc.
Discuss the parent's request at a formal staff meeting to determine whether the request is in the centres parameters or not.
If it is not the staff will devise a referal for the child's parents to the appropriate professional or department to deal with this issue. And use which ever relevant resources avaliable to the centre to accomodate the child's needs.

How can you ensure that the communication with these parents is culturally appropriate?
Ensure all staff dealing with this issue are aware of the centre's cultural policies and guideline.
Ensure all communication with these parents is presented using polite, non-sterotypical, politically correct language. Throughout all communications be mindful of gestures, words and opinions which might offend or alienate an individual from their cultural background. Communicate honestly, openly and politely.
Review to ensure all communication is comprehended and recieved positively.
