Placement Observations On Each Age Group

Hi,
I've just started my placement for my certificate 3 in childcare education and care. lucky enough for me i have been working causally in a childcare center for the last year while studying.
i now have to start doing my placement assessments/observations.
the first one requires you to plan age appropriate three based individual experiences ( indoors/outdoors) with three age group of children : babies/ toddler and kinder.
as you facilitate the experiences, observe the verbal and non verbal cues the child gives you and respond appropriately.
evaluate the experience and record the outcome.

so for my understanding of this i have to think of one activity for each age group ?
i was thinking because at my center as its the end of the year the babies in the babies room are mostly over 1 and moving up to the toddlers room next year but i have to do my assessments this month. i was thinking of getting some of that magic sand/kinetic sand and answering the questions that are in my placement book on one of the children that will be playing with it. am i on the right track ? do i just find a age appropriate activity and observe a child on that certain activity ?

or am i thinking of something wrong? :/

also because all the questions are the same for each age group if i were to do the magic sand with the babies can i do the same activity with the toddlers and then maybe dancing with the kinder kids ?

some help would be really appreciated as im new to all of this and think im just doubting my self and stressing abit that ill do it all wrong.

OK so you have to plan 3 different experiences for each age group. These are individual experiences meaning an experience for 1 child. Even if more children get involved, just focus on the 1 child to answer the questions.

It's probably best to do 3 different activities one for each age group. So, you could use the kinetic sand for babies, goop or slime for toddlers and maybe like a science experiment (baking soda and vinegar) for kinder etc.

Hope this helps,
