Hi I have an assignment question that says I have to record my actions that helped a child deal with transition and change. I did this and in my response I said that the child did not want to come to daycare today and she replied with I want Dad explained her that double be back in the afternoon then I look for something else that interested that child to distract her the way she was feeling about the drop off as she is usually calm and drop off times but I did not want to play with anything that was in the yard so I took her over to see the chickens as soon as the child seen the chicken she stopped crying and crying and pointed to them after observing the chicken's for a while she looks at me again and said that and I again reassured her that double be back this afternoon to get her and that we were going to have a fun day at daycare first the child then began to smile and laugh at the chicken and then we found her friend she is close to and they went off and played.

The second part of this activity I had to write three ways other than the actions are implemented that I could use to help children develop their coping skills to handle change throughout life.

I am very stuck on this question.

You could give her a comforter or show her pictures of her family. Allocate a quiet space for her to settle. Devise a behaviour management plan.
