i have a question in assessment 3 of health and safety to dicuss culture/medical requirements, appetites, food and drink preferences with mentor.
my answer was At 1:00 pm when children were having nap,me and my supervisor was sitting in a room,I asked her if we can discuss a task now,she answered yes.I explained her my task i.e how to manage different cultures food, medical requirements and food and drink preferences
She stated that as Australia is a multiculture ,so we have respect for all cultures.on enrolment we ask their food prferences and which foods not to given to their child.
We have muslim childrens ,which don’t eat pork and only eat halal meat of goat and chicken.so if there is a gathering for all children and parents we make sure to arrange halal food for them or ask parents to bring some halal food.we keep them separate not to mix with other food.In daily routine children have their own food from home.
Similarly hindus don’t eat beef,so we provide substitute to them.
There are some children who are lactose intolerant or dairy intolerant ,though all children sit together during meal times but we make sure they don’t taste the food of each others.
Children with different appetites will be respected.extra serves will be arranged for them ..in case of family who don’t want to immunise their children for chicken pox or any other disease, they will be covienced initially for vaccination but if they refised because of their culture than in case of chickenpox outbreak they will be stay at home.this should be informed to parents at time of enrolment.
i have got resubmission
kindly help me with this question as soon as possible
thanks
