Hi,
Im writing up an indoor planned experience for Lilu but I'm stuck on one of the parts to fill in. I have chosen to do painting masks, as Lilu showed an interest in 'make-up' when playing with her dolls and to develop her fine motor skills. The part I'm having trouble with is:

How will you encourage participation?
Outline what you will do to involve the child(ren) in the experience, how will you communicate?, how will you facilitate discussion?, how will you promote positive behaviour throughout this experience?, how will you collaborate with child(ren) throughout this experience?

My thoughts on this question: would it be along the lines of reading a book that has relevance to the experience plan before carrying it out, asking Lilu to help set up the experience,as Lilu is paining her mask ask her what colours or items she is using to decorate it, encourage positive behaviour by sitting close by and offering assistance when Lilu needs it and I'm not sure on 'collaborate with children throughout this experience'?
Im not sure if I'm on the right track or if i am completely off. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Also, consider the setting and how you would encourage other children in the group to become involved, as well as Lilu. Think of aesthetics, verbal communication, body language. Lorina gave some great ideas too. I am probably not supposed to say this but I am very familiar with unit. I am a Teacher/Assessor lol

I looked up the meaning of aesthetics but I'm still unsure of how to connect it to the experience.
