Interact Effectively with children

Hi, i would like some advice, we are getting new toys for the daycare centre does anyone have any ideas on how to involve the children in the decision process of buying the the toys. what methods can we use to find out what the children want??? is there any information written on this??

depending on the age group you could tell them about the choices of toys and what they are for and show them pictures and see which they seem to prefer.
if its an existing daycare take some time to observe what choices the children make when choosing toys and ask them why they made that choice etc

Observe the children.
Note their particular wants.
Note their interests.
Keep in mind their needs. (to learn and develop).
Once you have enough information, and consulted with superiors..
-Let the kids vote on it.
(Parent input would be great in younger children.)
