Your Question?
Hi I have just joined and am hoping I have put this question in the right area. This is my question:- In order to reduce hazards, child care services carry out workplace inspections. Some happen daily and others more infrequently - list all the safety checklists you complete as part of your role and explain why they are important.

I need to answer this question, however, as I will not be starting employment until February, I am wanting to know of where I can find an example of a checklist ??
Thanks so much.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I have googled my question and cannot find anything.

When you start working you will begin to realize how much paperwork we have to complete. It's pretty full on but I guess when you have to follow regulations we have no other choice. Here is a list of safety checklists you need to fill out:

Opening Checklist - Daily
Closing Checklist - Daily
Playground Safety Checklist - Daily
Room Cleaning Checklist - Daily
Toy Cleaning Checklist - Daily (or Weekly in Preschool Rooms)
Food Temperature Checklist - Daily (Kitchen)
Fridge Temperature Checklist - Daily (Kitchen)
Kitchen Cleaning Checklist – Daily (Kitchen)
Hazardous Material Checklist – Monthly
Fire Drill Safety Checklist – Monthly
OH&S Compliance Checklist – Monthly
First Aid Checklist – Monthly

Ok, these are all the ones I can think of from the top of my head… I think this is pretty much it.

Hope This Helps,

After posting the above, I remembered that I had replied to a similar question before. I did a quick search here and I found it. Here is the link:

How much do we need to show in the room?

Thank you so much for your response, there were a few that you mentioned that I had not included, and most of the information that I did give was from hands on experience, I can now go back to the question and fill in what I missed.
Many thanks again.

Dear, Im having problem with this question
1. Why should a safety check be carried out daily in an education and care service?
7. What is your service’s procedure for testing emergency equipment?any help
11. Which emergency services should have been called in this case study?
12. How would you use this case study as part of the quality improvement process?
13. How would you gather information and share ideas from staff, educators and families about this incident to inform self-assessment?

thnk you :)
