HLTHIR403C - Scenario: Sam - Two Mothers

Hi everyone,
I am really struggling to a question given in a case study below:
"Tael (4 1/2 yrs old) was invited by his friend to Sam's 5th b-day party. Sam has only recently come to the centre and the two boys are great mates. Tael didn't have a close friend until Sam came and he has been blossoming recently. Tael was happy to go and had a wonderful time. His mother Marita, who is very religious, asked to talk to you the following week. Marita said she was worried about the friendship between the children because Sam had no father but had "two mothers". She doesn't like that and she believes it is morally wrong and not normal. She asked you to make sure that the children didn't play together."
Question is: How does the comment 'not normal' prevent acknowledgement of diversity, life experiences and situations? Explain in 15-20 words.
My attempted answer is : The comment itself has a negative connotation. Saying that family having that situation 'not normal' is actually saying that she can never accept the fact that society changes and she can never adapt to it thereby it is preventing her to acknowledge diversity.
That was actually my third answer for the first two that i cited to in the class were rejected. Please help.
