I recently finished this assessment however it took me a long time because I couldn't find any of the relevant info in the book. My laptop had a meltdown last week so I have had to redo this assessment and I'm stuck and getting frustrated! The questions I'm stuck on are
i) explain the principles of equal employment opportunity,sex,race,disability,anti discrimination and similar legislation.
ii) explain the implications for work and social practices of these principles Nd legislation for you in the role in a children's service.
And also
I) how you use communication constructively to develop and maintain effective relationships,mutual trust and confidence.
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
So far for the first question I have-
The legislation for the anti discrimination act qld parliament passed in 1991 (I have included what the act states) as well as written 'equal employment opportunity ensures that everyone has the right to be treated fairly and not discriminated against. This applies to getting a job, work conditions, opportunities for training or promotion and your dismissal.
I am not sure if the question is asking me to provide more information than that. But I am extremely stuck with what to answer for the next part. I've read through the back multiple times and web searched but nothing seems to get my brain going as to how I can answer it.
Also with the last question I wrote I need to come up with other answers besides 'discussing with them, learning about their culture' as this book seems to repeat itself a lot and don't want all the answers to be the same.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
