Your Question?
Describe two activities that you might implement with children in a child care facility. For each activity, make a list of suitable materials that you will need to provide. How would you prepare the materials for use? Where might you get the materials from?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Reading Time – gathering the children together and sitting down to have reading time
Materials: A few books (get the children to have a vote on a variety of books)
Preparing the materials: I don’t think the materials need preparing for this activity
Where to get the materials: The centres book shelfs or bring in a few books from a local library or from home


Description and Message:
I have no idea if I am going in the right direction with this,this is not my answer I just put reading down then for this post. I would like to do Arts and Crafts as my activity and have no idea if my above answer is okay.

Hi Danielle.
Would think you would need to add more to your answer. For reading, you could say something like, following the children's interests in nursery rhymes, I could arrange for a number of books relating to nursery rhymes. This would include big books, books on cd and colouring in books. I could also provide props for acting out the nursery rhymes such as masks and finger puppets. For the reading area large cushion could be provided for comfort.
For art and craft think about what sort, collage/painting/ box construction etc and the materials needed. Age and safety would need to be considered.
